Director, Infrastructure Developer (The Prudential Insurance Company of America, Newark, NJ)

Collaborate with product owners to understand key objectives, tech leads in defining technical design and feature stories, and other team members to understand the system end-to-end and deliver robust solutions. Bring about business impact and support organizational goals. Deliver platform solutions for our container platforms using industry standards and emerging technologies. Develop APIs using FastAPI and build patterns of infrastructure services that are consumed via self-service. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement easily consumable services and enhancements to the container platform. Document and present API specs, technical diagrams, code, etc. for knowledge sharing and future reference. Use programming languages including but not limited to Python, JavaScript, and Node.js. Expert level knowledge of Kubernetes and other container orchestration platforms such as AWS ECS.

Telecommuting permitted up to 100% per week. Candidate may reside and work from anywhere in the U.S.

Minimum Education Required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and 8 years of related work experience.

Must have 8 years of experience in each of the following:

• AWS; and

• Linux.

Must have 7 years of experience in Kubernetes.

Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:

• Docker;

• Terraform;

• Python; and,

• Azure.

Domestic travel required up to 5%.
