Job description

We’re working with a digital gaming company looking for a DevOps / Cloud Engineer to help build and improve the cloud infrastructure and delivery pipelines that power its platforms. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with infrastructure, engineering, QA, security, and operations colleagues to make systems easier to deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and scale as the business grows.

You will help keep cloud environments healthy, push deployment automation forward, support day-to-day production operations, strengthen visibility across the stack, and cut down manual effort wherever pragmatic automation can do the job instead. It’s a genuinely hands-on position, suited to someone who gets satisfaction from solving real operational problems, smoothing out developer workflows, and keeping business-critical systems running reliably.

Responsibilities

  • Building, maintaining, and continuously improving cloud infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code.
  • Supporting both production and non-production environments spanning multiple brands and markets.
  • Strengthening CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and deployment automation.
  • Helping operate cloud infrastructure that’s secure, resilient, and built to scale.
  • Enhancing monitoring, alerting, logging, dashboards, and overall operational visibility.
  • Automating repetitive, manual operational tasks wherever it makes sense to do so.
  • Partnering with developers to improve deployment safety, service reliability, and production readiness.
  • Supporting cloud networking, access control, secrets management, backup processes, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Taking part in incident response - troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and the follow-up improvements that come out of it.
  • Helping manage infrastructure hygiene, cost optimisation, and capacity planning.
  • Documenting infrastructure, processes, runbooks, and operational procedures clearly and usefully.
  • Supporting compliance, audit, and change-management processes wherever infrastructure is involved.

Requirements

Bachelor (3 years) English, * Experience working as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Platform Engineer, SRE, Systems Engineer, or in a comparable role.

  • Practical, hands-on experience with a major cloud provider - AWS or similar.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform or an equivalent tool.
  • Experience with CI/CD and deployment tooling such as TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of Linux, networking fundamentals, DNS, TLS, load balancing, firewalls, and core cloud security concepts.
  • Experience with containers (Docker), ideally alongside container orchestration or managed container platforms.
  • Scripting or automation ability in Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tooling such as New Relic, CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, ELK, or similar.
  • A genuine troubleshooting mindset, with a willingness to take ownership of operational issues end to end.

Benefits & conditions

  • A genuinely hands-on infrastructure role with direct, visible impact on production reliability and developer productivity.
  • The opportunity to work on cloud platforms behind real, business-critical products.
  • A pragmatic team culture built around automation, ownership, security, and continuous improvement.
  • Clear paths to grow into platform engineering, SRE, cloud architecture, security, or infrastructure leadership.
  • Up to €6.500 for exceptional candidates that perform well in the interview process.
  • Full package including company car and healthy additional net benefits.
  • 3 days remote work.
  • International and inclusive team culture.
