Agile Methodology PRINCE2 Scrum Methodology Scaled Agile Framework Atlassian Tools

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to support a strategic programme in the healthcare and public-sector context. You will work with four teams active in the areas of medicinal prescriptions, referral prescriptions, referral prescription support and a mobile health application. These initiatives are long-term in nature and follow multi-year roadmaps. Each team is guided by a Project Manager working with the PRINCE2 methodology, while the delivery teams use Scrum. The referral prescription teams also rely on the SAFe framework for quarterly planning and coordination. In this position, you coach both development teams and stakeholders in the consistent application of Scrum and broader Agile practices. You help safeguard Agile values and principles while applying a pragmatic, results-driven approach in an environment where governance structures and roles do not always fully match a pure Agile setup. You contribute to smooth collaboration across teams and stakeholders, facilitate Agile ceremonies where needed, and support transparency and follow-up through tools such as Jira and Confluence. As part of the longer-term evolution of the programme, you are expected to grow into the Release Train Engineer (RTE) role from 2027 onwards. This also implies obtaining the SAFe Release Train Engineer certification by the end of Q1 2027.

Requirements

  • You have solid experience as a Scrum Master in complex organisational environments.
  • You bring strong expertise in Agile ways of working; this is an essential requirement for the role.
  • You have experience with Agile coaching and know how to support teams as well as stakeholders.
  • You are familiar with Jira and Confluence for collaboration, follow-up and documentation.
  • Experience in the public sector is an important asset.
  • You are pragmatic, communicative and focused on achieving results.
  • You have the ambition and capability to evolve towards an RTE role.
  • You communicate professionally in French, Dutch and English.

Benefits & conditions

You will be part of a growing Belgian SME where initiative and personal development are encouraged. We will provide you with an enjoyable work environment with fun colleagues. We will work out a career plan with you, with attention and a budget for extra education/certification. You can count on an attractive salary, supplemented with extra-legal benefits, including a company car. (Freelance is also possible)
