Job description

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity to join our growing ICT Team as a Junior Data Analyst.

In this role, you will conduct statistical analysis, data mining, and retrieval processes on extensive datasets to uncover trends and generate actionable insights. Your work will involve transitioning data usage from basic reporting to advanced predictive modelling. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across emh to enhance understanding of data and systems. The goal is to deliver impactful insights from both existing and new data streams, enabling the group to effectively manage its resources and achieve its objectives.

Requirements

We are seeking an individual with experience in developing customer-focused data dashboards. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of working with complex SQL datasets, including the ability to interpret this data and cross-correlate it with other datasets to generate relevant executive insights and dashboards. You will have:

  • Be proficient in writing SQL queries and a background in dataset integration.
  • Experience in creating SQL functions and procedures.
  • A track record of producing web-based dashboards suitable for executive presentations.
  • The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team to deliver exceptional service.
  • Strong planning and prioritisation skills to meet deadlines while managing conflicting priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying information through various media and making complex data understandable to non-technical stakeholders at all levels.

If you are passionate about data and have the skills to transform it into actionable insights, we would love to hear from you!, A Level or equivalent education is essential.

A degree or equivalent qualification is also essential.

Additionally, it is desirable for candidates to have technical training in areas such as SQL, SSRS, Power BI, and Data Analytics.

We are looking for individuals who not only meet these educational criteria but also possess the technical skills necessary to excel in this role.

Benefits & conditions

Based: Hybrid working - initially during probationary period you will be required to work 3 days in the office at Memorial House in Coalville, Leicestershire with 2 days working from home. Following the 6-month probationary period this will then change to an average of 2 days in the office at Memorial House in Coalville, Leicestershire with an average of 3 days working from home.

Hours: 35 hours per week working Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 6pm to be agreed with line manager.
