Job description

- You build a scalable and reliable product that enables data, analytics, and innovation.
- You work with multiple data platform teams that collectively develop a high-quality platform product.
- You collaborate daily with business stakeholders, technology teams, data specialists, and the Data Leadership Team., As Product Owner Data Platform, you are ultimately accountable for the Data Platform product. You ensure the platform remains cohesive, high-quality, and future-proof, while continuously delivering value to Jumbo.
Get started! This is what you will do You are responsible for the vision and evolution of Jumbo’s central data platform. This platform provides the foundation that enables data analysts, data scientists, and engineers to build sustainable and reusable data products.
You translate strategic objectives into a clear roadmap and make deliberate product decisions. Rather than focusing on individual requests or short-term optimizations, you take a holistic view of the platform. You continuously balance quality, simplicity, and impact-deciding not only what to add, but also what to leave out.
Working closely with engineering teams, architects, and fellow product owners, you drive the development of capabilities such as data ingestion, data governance, data sharing, and the core platform foundation. You champion consistent engineering principles, reusable building blocks, and a platform experience that feels intuitive and reliable for its users.
The teams you collaborate with are experienced, highly skilled, and opinionated. You bring strong product thinking to the table by asking the right questions, challenging assumptions, and safeguarding long-term product quality.
You maintain clear visibility of progress, quality, and business value. You make decisions transparent, create alignment across stakeholders, and adjust course when necessary-not because a process dictates it, but because the platform and its users will benefit from it.
Your main responsibilities:
- Develop and actively communicate the product vision.
- Safeguard platform cohesion, quality, and long-term value.
- Define clear product priorities and make informed trade-offs.
- Provide strategic product direction across multiple data platform teams.

- Drive the adoption of reusable building blocks and consistent platform principles.
- Take ownership of Jumbo’s central data platform.
