IT project manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Project Manager to join a collaborative technology team, taking responsibility for delivering a varied portfolio of IT and digital transformation projects. The successful candidate will oversee projects from concept through to completion, ensuring they are delivered efficiently while meeting business objectives and stakeholder expectations.

What you will be doing:

• Take ownership of the full project life cycle, from initiation and planning through to deployment and handover.
• Coordinate the delivery of technology projects across software, infrastructure, and business systems.
• Produce and maintain key project documentation, including schedules, risk registers, governance documentation, and status reporting.
• Track project progress, budgets, resources, and milestones, ensuring any issues are identified and resolved proactively.
• Promote Agile delivery practices, supporting sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives where appropriate.
• Build strong working relationships with business users, technical teams, suppliers, and senior stakeholders.
• Manage project risks, dependencies, and change requests while maintaining clear communication throughout delivery.
• Oversee release planning and implementation activities to ensure smooth transitions into production.
• Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes and contribute to best practice across the wider team.

• Previous experience delivering a range of IT projects within an Agile environment.
• Strong understanding of project governance, planning, risk management, and delivery methodologies.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong organisational and leadership abilities with a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Experience working with cross-functional technical and business teams.

Desirable Skills

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar project and Agile management platforms.
• Experience supporting CRM-related projects, including Salesforce environments.
• Professional project management qualifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, or AgilePM.
• Understanding of change management principles and organisational transformation.
