VodafoneThree - Towers & Estates Strategy Support Lead

The Towers and Estates team has responsibility for the management of cell site providers and the services they provide for Vodafone Three. The site providers are a mixture of large (10,000 site) providers to small Neutral host providers across the UK., The Towers and Estates Strategy Specialist is responsible for supporting the Towers and Estates Strategy Lead with setting, communicating and evaluating the overall cell site provider strategy for VodafoneThree, liaising with senior stakeholders within the Network Development and Infrastructure Team, the other Network functions and the wider business as well as the cell site provider supply chain.

• Maintain a strategic understanding of each of the opportunities, obligations and penalties associated with the key TowerCo and MSP contracts
• Maintain a medium to long term outlook on the utilisation of TowerCo and Key Multiple Site Provider (MSP) portfolios in the VF3 network plan
• Develop and maintain a medium to long term strategy document for each of the key TowerCos and MSPs in the VF3 network to provide relevant insight to Network Planners and key decision makers
• Monitor the use of site provider and towerco portfolios in the network plan against VF3 volume commitments and any other key or strategic VF3 contractual obligations and provide regular status reports
• Provision of, and maintaining guidance to network planning teams in relation to site provider and TowerCo contracts including:
• VF3’s obligations under such contracts particularly around volume commitments
• Churn rights and impact of churn
• Any specific Opex or Capex incentives included in the contract
• Work closely with the Legal teams to ensure correct interpretation of contracts and where required, identify opportunities to incentivise improvement in supplier performance
• Liaise with counterparts in VMO2 in relation to Joint MSP Strategy as required under the Managed Network Sharing Agreement
• Assist the contract/portfolio managers during the contract change process by providing a strategic impact analysis of proposed contract changes
• Input into the regular budget reforecasting process in relation to any medium to long term costs or obligations in relation to TowerCo or key Site Provider contracts, We are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and all offers of employment for this role are subject to background checks, including criminal (DBS) and financial checks to meet the regulators standards.

• Ability to assimilate and analyse site data and produce clear management reports
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• At least 5 years working level exposure to the design, planning, delivery and operation of Mobile Networks
• Familiarity with TowerCo and site provider contractual arrangements and the ability to interpret contractual language and translate it to an engineering context
