Java Developer

The Coca-Cola Freestyle team is growing and is looking for a Java Developer to join our team. Freestyle Dispensers combine the latest cloud, web, IoT, and embedded technologies in an award-winning device used by millions of people every day. Our ideal candidate has foundational knowledge of Java, a keen interest in web technologies and frameworks such as Spring, and a willingness to learn about embedded systems. Our cloud-connected dispenser with multiple processors, rows of pumps, and a modern software stack is an innovation playground. This device is a true Internet of Things, and our people must work within the constraints of a truly embedded piece of equipment. We are looking for someone who enjoys working on engineering projects and learning from other engineers. You will collaborate with teams from fluidics, electronics, hardware, embedded, regulatory, and back-office technologies.

Java, Microservices, Java 8, Springboot, A strong interest in software engineering and development Basic understanding and some hands-on experience with embedded devices (IoT preferred) BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or in progress) Fundamental Java development skills An interest in engineering environments and willingness to collaborate with engineers from other disciplines Developing documentation and writing skills Basic knowledge of REST, HTTP, Swagger, Maven, Git Eagerness to learn about embedded systems and basic knowledge of C/C++ or Rust is a plus Familiarity with scripting languages such as JavaScript or Python, with a willingness to learn more

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
