Large Language Models Multi-Agent Systems Virtual Agents Asynchronous Programming

Job description

As a Senior LangGraph Developer , you will make an impact by designing and delivering advanced agentic AI solutions that enable intelligent automation, orchestration, and decision-making at scale. You will be a valued member of the AI Engineering team and work collaboratively with AI researchers, architects, product teams, and engineering stakeholders to develop production-grade multi-agent systems powered by large language models (LLMs).

In this role, you will:

  • Design and implement advanced LangGraph workflows with sophisticated orchestration, branching logic, memory management, and state handling.

  • Develop scalable and resilient multi-agent systems that can reason, collaborate, and adapt to complex business requirements.

  • Integrate LangGraph-based applications with LLM platforms, enterprise systems, APIs, databases, and other external services.

  • Optimize the performance, reliability, and scalability of agentic AI solutions in production environments.

  • Provide technical leadership, mentor development teams, and establish best practices for agentic AI and LangGraph implementation.

Work model

We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in a Cognizant or client office in Dallas, TX, with Charlotte, NC as a secondary location option . Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience with a strong background in designing and delivering enterprise-scale applications.

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience developing solutions using LangGraph, agentic frameworks, or similar AI orchestration technologies.

  • Expert-level proficiency in Python, including asynchronous programming and distributed application development.

  • Deep understanding of LLM orchestration, state management, memory architectures, and agent design patterns.

  • Experience with LangChain, OpenAI, Anthropic, or other leading generative AI platforms.

  • Proven track record building production-ready agentic AI systems with strong reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance.

  • Experience evaluating AI solutions using frameworks and metrics related to RAG, agent performance, and batch-processing workloads.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.

These will help you stand out

  • Experience designing and deploying enterprise-grade Agentic AI platforms and intelligent automation solutions.

  • Knowledge of workflow visualization, debugging techniques, and LangGraph Studio.

  • Experience leading technical teams and mentoring engineers in AI and software development best practices.

  • Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and modern AI deployment patterns.

  • Experience collaborating with research, product, and business stakeholders to bring innovative AI capabilities to production.

  • Knowledge of emerging trends and best practices in autonomous agents, multi-agent systems, and enterprise AI governance.

We’re excited to meet people who share our mission and can make an impact in a variety of ways. Don’t hesitate to apply, even if you only meet the minimum requirements listed. Think about your transferable experiences and unique skills that make you stand out as someone who can bring new and exciting things to this role.
