Job description
Are you an analytical frontend engineer who thrives on complex data flows, high-security applications, and state-of-the-art tech stacks? For a leading global telecommunications provider, we are seeking a Senior Frontend Developer (Angular) to join a dedicated DevOps product team that builds and operates critical applications for Business Continuity Management and Penetration Test Management across the entire enterprise. As the backend is currently being modernized to a FastAPI and AWS containerized architecture, you will take the lead on the user interface, ensuring that complex security data is translated via a flawless Angular/NgRx architecture into a consistent, secure, and world-class user experience., As a Frontend Developer, you will take end-to-end feature ownership of the security platformâs interface, operating firmly under a âyou build it, you run it, you own itâ mentality.
- Innovative Frontend Solutions: Investigate, design, and implement best-in-class Angular solutions to continuously improve platform performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- State Management & Architecture: Structure, optimize, and manage complex application state and heavy data flows using NgRx (Store, Effects, Selectors, and Entity patterns).
- Component Design: Develop reusable component libraries, unified design systems, and maintainable UI architecture patterns using the Angular Material library.
- API Consumption & Integration: Seamlessly integrate the frontend with the modernized backend APIs, adhering to OpenAPI/Swagger documentation and JSON:API standardization patterns.
- Quality Assurance & Testing: Write clean code with an extreme eye for detail, implement robust unit testing (Jasmine/Karma), optimize bundles (lazy loading), and collaborate within automated CI/CD pipelines., A challenging fulltime assignment in Rotterdam (hybrid working is possible), starting from August, initially until the end of June 2027. Freelance/zzp is not possible for this assignment. You will work via a flex-contract with Independent Recruiters Flex, with a salary of âŹ5500 - âŹ7000 gross per month for a 40-hour work week.
Requirements

A minimum of 4 years of proven experience as a Software Engineer in complex, data-heavy, or security-sensitive enterprise environments. Active experience in an Agile/Scrum DevOps setup is mandatory.
- Core technical stack (Day 1 credible):
- Deep production-grade experience with the Angular Framework (latest versions, component architecture, dependency injection, and lifecycle management).
- Advanced skills in TypeScript (including advanced types, decorators, interfaces, and generics).
- Extensive experience with NgRx State Management (Store, Effects, Selectors).
- Strong frontend fundamentals (HTML, modern CSS like Grid/Flexbox) and Angular Material UI components.
- Advanced Git workflow practices and code-review experience.
- Strong plusses (expected to grow into):
- Practical experience with Docker containerization and CI/CD automated deployment workflows.
- Unit testing experience (Jasmine/Karma) and knowledge of API standards (JSON:API, OpenAPI).
- Framework versatility: real-world feature delivery experience in React or Vue is highly valued.
- Soft skills & culture: A proactive, self-starting team player who prioritizes team alignment and business outcomes over isolated output. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are mandatory (the team is fully international).
