App UX/UI Designer

We are looking for a talented Junior Designer specialising in Digital Product Design/UI/UX to take on a 6 month contract with the possibility of extension to a permanent role, depending on business needs. The role sits within the 15 person design team, supported by a Digital Product Design Lead and the Head of Design.

Our design studio is based in Salisbury and is easily commutable from Bournemouth, Southampton and Andover. Our in-house team includes product designers, fabric product designers, app developers, researchers and innovation coaches.

The Role

Work directly with clients to develop digital product ideas from initial concept through wireframes, prototyping, and UI design, all the way to a successful app or platform launch.

Consider the product’s user journeys, functionality, and technical feasibility to create solutions with a strong chance of commercial success.

We are an AI forward design studio heavily automated to enable our design team to maximise the value we deliver to clients. You won’t be making static mockups in isolation, you will be using Claude and in-house software to develop interactive prototypes, web apps, and native mobile apps., We have a fun, social team who are warm and welcoming. We host summer BBQs, winter parties, and our team organise drinks, quiz nights, and other events. Some of our staff live in Salisbury but others live in Bournemouth, Bath and Southampton. • Ability to execute and deliver work to an exceptional standard
• A taste maker who understands what amazing looks like
• A designer who can understand and implement the technical and platform principles required to make a product that looks great AND works well
• Strong grasp of branding and graphic design, with an eye for strong visuals and creative design
• Understanding of app development and modern tech stacks, experience with GitHub is a bonus
• Confidence prototyping in code (HTML/CSS/JS) is a strong bonus
• Strong UI/UX and interaction design skills, ideally with Figma
• Strong presentation and communication skills
