The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, Infrastructure, Data Engineering, Application Development, Procurement, and external technology partners to deliver secure, scalable, compliant, and cloud-native solutions that support the firm’s strategic objectives and operational excellence.

What You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Lead end-to-end cloud migration initiatives across many applications, including planning, prioritization, dependency management, execution oversight, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Define and drive cloud modernization strategies aligned with enterprise technology roadmaps and business objectives.
  • Ensure migrated and newly developed solutions adhere to enterprise architecture standards, cloud strategies, security controls, and approved technology platforms.
  • Establish governance processes and metrics to track cloud adoption, technology modernization progress, architecture compliance, and operational effectiveness.
  • Drive remediation of security vulnerabilities and ensure timely resolution of identified risks in partnership with application and infrastructure teams.
  • Promote adoption of secure-by-design and cloud-first engineering practices across development teams.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise data integration patterns, API standards, and data governance requirements.
  • Own vendor management responsibilities for third-party applications, including vendor engagement, service delivery oversight, contract renewals, issue escalation, risk management, and alignment with enterprise procurement and third-party governance processes.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architecture, security, infrastructure, and development teams to evaluate and implement technology solutions.
  • Support production stability through incident management governance and provide escalation leadership for critical production incidents.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, resiliency, scalability, and platform reliability.
  • Contribute to technology roadmaps, platform strategy, and modernization initiatives supporting long-term business growth and transformation.
  • Mentor and guide architects, developers, and technical leads on cloud technologies, architecture best practices, and modern engineering approaches.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise application architecture, software engineering, cloud transformation, or technology leadership roles.
  • Strong experience leading enterprise cloud migration and modernization programs.
  • Hands-on knowledge of AWS cloud services and cloud-native architectures.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise application architectures, shared services, and distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in Java and Python application development.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), and enterprise software engineering standards.
  • Experience managing application security, vulnerability remediation, and technology risk controls.
  • Experience managing third-party technology vendors, SaaS/platform providers, vendor risk activities, service reviews, and production support expectations for business-critical applications.
  • Experience working with relational and non-relational database technologies.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, APIs, messaging technologies, and data exchange frameworks.
  • Knowledge of AI technologies, generative AI capabilities, and practical application of AI within enterprise environments.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across business, architecture, infrastructure, security, and development organizations.
  • Strong communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in financial services or highly regulated environments is preferred.
