Job description

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer for our South Yorkshire based client. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of infrastructure design, implementation, and management. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability and efficiency of our systems, helping us deliver exceptional service to our clients. This is a hybrid role with a minimum of two days per week expected on site and will be ideally suited to candidates who can easily commute around South Yorkshire., * Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions.

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application deployments and infrastructure changes.
  • Automate routine tasks using Scripting and configuration management tools.
  • Manage backups, disaster recovery, and security of infrastructure systems.
  • Evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance infrastructure capabilities.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders.
  • Document infrastructure processes, configurations, and changes for compliance and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

Essential

  • Degree or equivalent occupational/professional qualification or experience
  • Technical Qualifications such as MCSE, MCP or A+ Certification

Desirable

  • Cyber Security Qualification
  • Network certification such as CCNA or equivalent
  • ITIL Foundation
  • ITIL Intermediate Level or above
  • Prince2
  • Customer Services qualification or equivalent experience
  • SDI Foundation
  • European Computer Driving License (ECDL) or equivalent

  • Customer Services Skills
  • Service Desk Tools and Technologies
  • Cyber Security Standards and Frameworks
  • Server and Desktop operating systems
  • Desktop/office applications
