Leading and growing the engineers on your team

Manage staging and production environments with goal of maximizing availability

Promote observability of systems for monitoring, alerting, and metrics reporting

Advocate best practices of reliability engineering

Requirements

Do you have experience in System performance monitoring?, Do you have a Master’s degree?, 5+ years professional experience in an engineering leadership position, Experience with large scale distributed systems, especially ML infrastructure and services including LLMs, Generative AI, and transformers

3+ Years demonstrable success leading engineering teams - ideally SRE, Production Engineering, or DevOps

Knowledge of core operating system principles, networking fundamentals, and systems management

Understanding of SRE principals, including monitoring, alerting, error budgets, fault analysis, and other common reliability engineering concepts

Experience with hiring and leading engineers

Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science or equivalent field

  • RSU, At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $198,300 and $342,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
