Job description

Pearson Carter are working with an innovative software organisation who are looking for an experienced Senior .NET Developer to join their ROAM Technical Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior software engineer who enjoys taking ownership of complex development projects, mentoring developers and delivering high-quality software solutions within a collaborative technical environment. Responsibilities

  • Act as a senior hands-on developer, delivering high-quality C#/.NET solutions across the full software development lifecycle.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy and support production-grade applications, APIs and integrations.
  • Provide technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring and promoting engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements, design practical solutions and deliver successful projects.
  • Improve software quality through maintainable architecture, secure coding, automated testing and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues, implement long-term solutions and contribute to planning, estimation and team development.

Requirements

  • 5 years’ commercial software development experience with strong C# and .NET/.NET Core expertise.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining production-grade applications, APIs and integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of REST APIs, service-oriented architecture, SQL databases, secure coding and software design.
  • Experience with Git, code reviews, branching strategies, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and DevOps practices.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and mentor developers to improve engineering standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and analytical skills, with the ability to balance delivery, quality and business priorities.
  • Experience with XAML/Visual Studio, a relevant degree (or equivalent experience), and technical leadership experience are advantageous.

Benefits & conditions

They offer a competitive salary, dependent on experience and up to £75k.
