Job description

The Core Formula Developer executes the tactical programming of PL/SQL scripts and Oracle Fast Formulas under the guidance of senior technical leads. Their operations involve developing highly reliable database logic and specific mathematical expressions required to support critical financial and personnel system functions.

  • Writing and modifying complex PL/SQL scripts, database triggers, and stored procedures.
  • Programming specific Oracle Fast Formulas and mathematical expressions required to calculate employee benefit deductions, complex tax withholdings, or granular financial allocations.
  • Rigorously unit testing code modules and identifying logic errors during compilation to enforce code quality.
  • Ensuring that specific development modules seamlessly integrate into the broader enterprise repository of custom Oracle extensions.
  • Proactively monitoring code performance and validating that updates do not cause systemic regressions.
  • Collaborating with internal technical teams and senior developers to interpret requirements and refine database operations.
  • Documenting database logic, compilation paths, and test cases to maintain a robust architectural repository.

Requirements

seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented to join our innovative team. This is a position., * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

  • 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in Oracle database development and PL/SQL programming.
  • Demonstrated experience writing database triggers, stored procedures, and complex data calculation expressions.
  • Direct experience developing or maintaining Oracle Fast Formulas within enterprise application environments.
  • Proven experience executing thorough unit testing, code compilation troubleshooting, and defect resolution.
  • Experience utilizing version control systems to manage custom extensions within a shared enterprise repository.

  • Experience developing or integrating applications utilizing Oracle Application Express (APEX).
  • Functional understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) developer tools or Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
  • Self-starter with strong communication skills - capable of translating logical financial rules into structured database solutions.

  • An active TS security clearance and the ability to obtain Polygraph.

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and collaborative spaces.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers and management, which may involve exchanging accurate technical information during development syncs.
