A client of Insight Global is seeking a Senior Consultant to support the deployment, management, optimization, and troubleshooting of enterprise OpenShift and storage environments. This consultant will serve as a technical leader responsible for architecting and maintaining Red Hat OpenShift platforms while ensuring reliable, scalable, and highly available storage solutions through OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF) and Ceph. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in OpenShift administration, cloud-native storage technologies, and distributed storage architectures, with the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide strategic guidance to customer stakeholders., The Senior Consultant will be responsible for OpenShift platform deployment and lifecycle management, including cluster installation, application deployment, upgrades, patching, networking, performance tuning, and operational support. This individual will work closely with platform engineering, application, and infrastructure teams to ensure OpenShift environments are secure, resilient, and optimized for business-critical workloads. The role also requires hands-on experience deploying and managing OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF), including storage cluster installation, expansion, monitoring, and ongoing administration.

A strong background in Ceph storage architecture is required, including experience with OSDs, MONs, MGRs, Pools, CephFS, RBD, and RGW. The consultant must be able to troubleshoot degraded clusters, analyze performance bottlenecks, manage capacity growth, and support replication and rebalancing operations across distributed storage environments. Candidates should have a minimum of 4-5 years of OpenShift experience and 6+ years of enterprise storage experience, with a focus on cloud-native and software-defined storage platforms., * 4-5+ years of experience with OpenShift

• Within OpenShift, experience with platform deployment, cluster management, application deployment, upgrading, patching, and networking

• Experience with OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF) Storage, inclduing both installation and management

• Experience with Ceph storage and architecture, including:

• OSDs, MONs, MGRs, Pools, CephFS, RBD, RGW, etc

• Troubleshooting degraded clusters

• Rebalancing and replication concepts

• Capacity and performance management

6+ years of overall storage experience with cloud-native storage * Red Hat Specialist in Ceph Storage Certification

• Experience with Ansible Automation Platform

• Experience with RHEL

Experience working in a Public Sector environment (SLED, Gov, etc.)
