Job description

The V.I.E (Volontariat International en Entreprise) program offers you the opportunity to work abroad for a period of up to 24 months, in a structured, secure and professionally enriching environment.

Through this initiative supported by the French government, you can gain valuable international experience, develop new skills and contribute to exciting projects with our team in the Netherlands while benefiting from a monthly allowance and comprehensive social protection., As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a V.I.E Junior Software Engineer with C++ experience to join our team and contribute to ongoing client projects in Rotterdam

As V.I.E Junior Software Engineer, your main tasks will include:

  • support the development, testing, and maintenance of software applications using C++
  • collaborate with senior engineers, contribute to front-end and/or back-end development tasks, write clean and efficient code, fix bugs, and participate in code reviews
  • learn best practices, improving technical skills, and gaining hands-on experience in building reliable and scalable software solutions

Requirements

Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science and a relevant degree

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proficient in C++ (high-performance systems, embedded, real-time applications)
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge on building scalable, maintainable systems
  • Comfortable working in collaborative, agile teams and hybrid settings

  • French or EU nationality with French Social Security Number
  • Must not have previously lived in the Netherlands
  • Under 28 years old
