Job description

The Test Leader is accountable for defining and executing the overall testing strategy to ensure product quality and compliance. This role coordinates verification, validation and certification activities across all system levels, manages integration and reliability testing, and ensures traceability between requirements and test outcomes. Acting as the central point of contact for test planning and execution, the Test Leader drives collaboration to deliver robust, reliable solutions., * Translate Marketing/Technical requirements into Test Specification, evaluate feasibility, estimate effort (resources, schedule, budget), and identify/mitigate technical risks. Maintain record of results and alignment with requirements.

  • Define Test Plan and schedule considering the requirements, applicable standards and certification needs.
  • Define Reliability testing requirement in coherence with the DfSR Practices and outcomes of the definition workshops.
  • Define and Prepare detailed test plan for execution, and coordinate implementation by Test Engineers or external laboratories.
  • Ensure proper execution of the test plan, including tracking, adaptation, and escalation of risks or deviations.
  • Reviewer of Literature for actions going through the test lab
  • Review and approve test documentation, including reports, data summaries, and evidence packages.
  • Point of contact with certification bodies under the TDAP program and related compliance activities.
  • Point of contact for OTL and other squad members ensuring alignment on planning, status, and cross-functional execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering., * Minimum 5 years of experience in electromechanical laboratory environment.
  • Experience working in an agile product development environment.

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of ISO 17025 management system, internal & external audit.
  • Knowledge of IEC 60884 & IEC 60669 requirements for switches & socket outlets.
  • Management of calibration & measurement system validation (Gage R&R).
  • Management of requirement & V&V process with supporting software suite (e.g.: Reliasoft).
  • Basic statistics (ie: 6 sigma green-belt) is a plus., * Strong leadership and animation skills.
  • Coaching and training capability.
  • Customer-oriented and analytical mindset.
  • Ability to manage change and work in multicultural environments.

Languages & Mobility:

  • Location : Schneider Electric Spain, Puente la Reina.
  • Professional proficiency in Spanish and English.
  • Driving license.
  • Availability for travel depending on project scope. Approximately 10% of the time.
