Job description

The School Accountability and Improvement Representative functions as a member of Buckeye Community Hope Foundation’s Education Division and Accountability and School Improvement Department. The Representative provides direct and indirect technical assistance to sponsored schools to support efforts to improve student achievement and meet performance expectations in the charter contract. The Representative plans, designs, and facilitates professional development and technical assistance for individual schools and groups of schools with an emphasis on best practices in literacy education and dyslexia intervention. The Representative serves as a member of the Education Division team and works to continually improve the sponsorship relationships and the quality of the community school movement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in teacher education or related field such as school administration or curriculum and instruction; Master’s degree preferred
  • Five or more years of educational experience in teaching/supervising high quality literacy instruction
  • Experience in school leadership, school administration, curriculum leadership/development or school improvement endeavors; experience with community schools preferred
  • Driver’s license and ability to travel to schools throughout Ohio, sometimes involving overnight stays; accessibility to Columbus for regular meetings
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Computer/technical skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Criminal investigations clearance (BCI and FBI)
