Senior Load Balancer Engineer (F5 / AVI)

We are seeking a Senior Application Delivery Engineer to support a large-scale infrastructure modernization initiative focused on migrating enterprise applications from VMware AVI (NSX Advanced Load Balancer) to F5 platforms.

This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing application delivery solutions across global environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in F5 load balancing technologies, strong network engineering fundamentals, and experience delivering highly available, secure, and scalable infrastructure solutions within complex enterprise environments.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the design and implementation of application delivery infrastructure solutions using F5 technologies.
• Support migration efforts from VMware AVI (NSX Advanced Load Balancer) to F5 platforms.
• Manage the full lifecycle of load balancing infrastructure, including design, deployment, upgrades, maintenance, and decommissioning.
• Develop High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), implementation plans, and operational runbooks.
• Architect solutions involving SSL offloading, DNS services, persistence, traffic optimization, and application security controls.
• Ensure infrastructure designs align with enterprise security, compliance, and operational standards.
• Perform validation, testing, and quality assurance activities before production deployment.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, security, and business teams to support successful project delivery.
• Lead lifecycle management activities, including patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and end-of-life technology refresh initiatives.
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to load balancing, DNS, SSL/TLS, and network traffic management.
• Support automation and integration initiatives through APIs and scripting technologies.
• Provide operational metrics, reporting, and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Do you have experience in Technical writing for network engineers?, * 5+ years of experience in Network Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or Application Delivery Engineering.

• Strong hands-on experience with F5 LTM and GTM.
• Experience working with F5 APM and ASM modules.
• Working knowledge of VMware AVI (NSX Advanced Load Balancer).
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, HTTPS, BGP, DNS, SSL/TLS, and related networking protocols.
• Experience designing and supporting highly available application delivery solutions.
• Knowledge of SSL certificate management, PKI processes, and certificate lifecycle administration.
• Experience troubleshooting complex enterprise networking and application delivery environments.
• Experience using F5 iControl APIs or similar technologies for automation and integration.
• Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience participating in infrastructure lifecycle management and technology refresh programs., * F5 Certification (201, 301, or equivalent).
• CCNP, CCIE, or related networking certifications.
• Experience with F5 advanced modules including ASM, APM, and Web Acceleration.
• Knowledge of F5 iRules and policy-based traffic management.
• Experience with automation tools such as Python, Ansible, or scripting frameworks.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management best practices.
• Experience supporting financial services, banking, or other highly regulated environments.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis, risk assessments, and infrastructure optimization initiatives.
