Job description

The Sr. Data Analyst, Pharmacy Network will play a key role in supporting the analytical operations of the Provider Services department. The Sr. Analyst will be responsible for understanding business processes, the supporting data, and performing an array of analyses and report creation that facilitate critical business decision-making processes. The objective is to utilize and harness data in an effective manner to best serve our providers, clients, and promote strategic initiatives. The Sr. Analyst supports the evaluation of both the adequacy and performance of our provider networks via data modeling, analysis, and reporting. This position will communicate and work cross functionally with various teams at Navitus to deliver intuitive analyses and reports. The Sr. Analyst will be responsible for completing reports and projects as requested by teams to support Provider Services, Account Management, Implementation, Legal, Government Programs, Analytics, Pricing & Underwriting and Sales.   • Responsible for completing reports and projects, such as detailed geo access, member disruption, state PBM licensing applications, state audit/adequacy reports, and pharmacy listing.
  • Work closely with the legal team to develop a significant understanding of state PBM and Pharmacy Access laws in order to build reports and capture applicable data to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Subject matter expert and resource for other members of the reporting team for these tools.
  • Point of contact for team members, providing both support and data knowledge.
  • Provide support to key client needs in order to meet their specific business needs.
  • Recommend enhancements to existing systems in accordance with business needs by creating ad hoc and standard reports as well as new information delivery technologies.
  • Work with Navitus teams to develop applications to streamline reporting processes and meet developing client and reporting agency needs.
  • Understand intermediate data relationship concepts and transform data into information that can be proactively used to improve business decisions.
  • Communicate with vendors to develop more in depth understanding of applicable software capabilities and develop systems to meet future needs.
  • Work together with Navitus teams to create solutions via data models to better understand trends and facilitate decision making on pharmacy network design.
  • Lead evaluation of applicable pharmacy network adequacy as required by clients or regulation.
  • Create pharmacy directories for our clients and their members that clearly identify the pharmacy services available to them and where they are located. This includes developing a level of understanding of Blue Relay to become a subject matter expert on the software.
  • Deliver reports and directories on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual basis as required by government sponsored health plans and other clients.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Spreadsheets?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelor’s degree required. Emphasis in business, information systems, economics, or statistics preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with business, economic/financial modeling, or analytical programs.
  • Experience with SAS, SQL, and/or QlikView is required.
  • PBM or Managed Care experience is required.
  • PC skills: Microsoft Excel, Access, QlikView, SQL, and other applications as required.
