Working Student IT Applications - onsite

As working student in IT applications for the Munich plant of Livanova Deutschland GmbH you will be responsible for supporting the ERP system S4/HANA with strong focus on analytics and AI. The to be supported scope lies in the fields of manufacturing processes, tactical procurement, production planning and scheduling as well as in inbound and outbound logistics. The position will provide a broad and interconnected view of the whole value chain of two value streams in the highly regulated medical device manufacturing field.

General Responsibilities:

• Drive innovation around analytics such as PowerBI/SAC and AI (artificial intelligence)
• Support in the operation, maintenance, and further development of our ERP system SAP S4/Hana together with business users in regards of analytics
• Participation in requirements analyses and the implementation of business processes into IT solutions
• Support with system testing, documentation, and release activities during project implementation
• Analysis and handling of user requests (2nd-level support) in collaboration with specialist departments
• Involvement in digitalization and optimization projects within the ERP environment
• Support with interface and data analyses of connected systems (e.g. Finance, Supply Chain, HR)
• Insight into regulated IT processes (e.g. validation, compliance, and documentation requirements in the medical technology sector)

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Informatics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Strong interest in data analytics, business intelligence, and emerging AI technologies.
• Basic to intermediate experience with Power BI, including data modeling, dashboard creation, report development, and KPI visualization.
• Exposure to SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or other enterprise analytics platforms.
• Understanding of data analysis concepts, data structures, and reporting methodologies.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and proficiency in working with datasets from multiple sources.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) is an advantage.
• Understanding of AI and Generative AI concepts, including Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and AI-assisted business processes.
• Experience with Python, machine learning, or AI-related tools and frameworks is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into data-driven insights.
• Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn and take accountability.
• Fluency in English; Good German language skills are beneficial.
