Job description
We’re working with a well-known UK Brand as they go through a large scale implementation of an Employee & Internal communication programme. We’re looking for an experienced Solution Architect to play a pivotal role in the design and delivery of a strategic Internal & Employee Communications Programme. This role will be responsible for defining and governing the architecture for enterprise communication platforms that enable effective employee engagement, operational communications, workforce collaboration, and critical business messaging across diverse employee populations.
The successful candidate will lead the end-to-end solution architecture on a new Employee communication, engagement, and workforce platform such as Staffbase, Workvivo, Blink, WorkJam, Zipline, and Zebra Technologies, ensuring seamless integration with the wider enterprise technology landscape.
This is a highly visible role requiring close collaboration with business stakeholders, programme leadership, digital workplace teams, security, infrastructure, and vendor partners., Solution Architecture & Design
- Define and own the end-to-end solution architecture for employee and internal communication platforms.
- Design scalable, secure, and resilient communication ecosystems supporting corporate communications, operational messaging, employee engagement, and frontline workforce communications.
- Develop architecture roadmaps aligned to the broader digital workplace and employee experience strategy.

Produce architecture artefacts including:
- High-level and low-level solution designs
- Integration architectures
- Data flow diagrams
- Security and governance models
- Technology roadmaps
Platform Architecture

Provide architectural leadership across employee communication and engagement platforms including:
- Staffbase
- Workvivo
- Blink
- WorkJam
- Zipline
- Zebra Technologies
Evaluate platform capabilities and make recommendations regarding platform selection, consolidation, implementation, and optimisation.
Define approaches for content management, audience targeting, campaign delivery, notifications, workflows, and employee interactions.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating as a Solution Architect or Enterprise Architect within large-scale transformation programmes.
- Experience delivering digital workplace, employee experience, communications, or collaboration solutions.
- Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and API-led architectures.
- Experience designing architectures that support large and distributed workforces, including frontline and deskless employees.

- Zipline
- Zebra Technologies Workforce Connect

Benefits & conditions
£600-650 p/d - Outside IR35 - 6 month initial contract - highly remote - twice a month on site but ideally 1 day a week either Midlands or Manchester
