Job description

We are looking for a Data Analyst to join a growing data and insight team. This role is responsible for developing analysis and reporting capabilities, identifying trends, monitoring business performance, and delivering actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.

Working closely with key stakeholders, you will analyse complex datasets, develop dashboards and reports, improve data quality, and help drive business performance through data-led recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

·Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement.

·Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports using Power BI.

·Write and optimise SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyse data.

·Build and maintain data sources from multiple systems.

·Support stakeholders by providing meaningful analysis and actionable insights.

·Define and implement data acquisition and integration processes.

·Monitor data quality and recommend process improvements.

·Produce clear documentation and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

·Assist business teams in understanding and accessing data.

·Support projects by providing technical data analysis and reporting.

·Ensure compliance with data protection, governance, and information security requirements.

Requirements

Essential

·Previous experience in a Data Analyst or similar analytical role.

·Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.

·Experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI.

·Experience with Python, R, XML, JavaScript, or ETL tools.

·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

·High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

·Ability to interpret complex data and present findings clearly.

·Experience managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.

Desirable

·Experience within the financial services sector.

·Experience in a B2B environment.

·Knowledge of data modelling, data mining, and segmentation techniques.

·Experience supporting pricing, underwriting, or commercial analytics.

·Relevant degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
