Job description

ResponsibilitiesThe Payment & Basket Platform team is a foundational team working on our core stack to improve developer experience in the area.For this role, you will take ownership of our Backoffice Application Stack, used by Product Teams to build their individual UIs for internal stakeholders.The team focuses on Infrastructure, Backend Engineering and Frontend Engineering.Develop new features for the backoffice based on given requirements and user needs.Integrate our graphical user interfaces with the backend service landscape of Payment & Basket.Work closely with the technical product owner and engineers on scalable frontend nduct code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure high?quality code.Qualifications7+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or equivalent frontend development experience.Demonstrated ability to deliver complex frontend features within cross?functional teams with growing independence.Strong background in building and maintaining production?ready web applications using modern frontend frameworks.Experience designing reusable UI components and contributing to shared libraries and design systems.Proficiency in integrating APIs (REST/Graph QL) and ensuring application state consistency and performance.Knowledge of accessibility, testing, and performance optimization best practices with minimal supervision.Ability to plan and implement features based on user stories and technical requirements, and to support sprint planning, estimation, and refinement sessions.Experience with deployment, release, and monitoring workflows.Strong communication skills, able to translate technical concepts for non?technical stakeholders and provide constructive feedback in code reviews and technical mitment to delivering reliable, maintainable, and well?documented frontend solutions that meet organizational standards, user experience goals, and accessibility compliance.Career FocusManage workload and priorities effectively in alignment with team ntor other engineers and support onboarding of new team ntribute to continuous improvement of frontend architecture, tooling, and documentation.Lead platform delivery end?to?end, from concept to production, and drive discussions around frontend standards and scalability.BenefitsYoung, flexible environment that encourages contribution and co?creation of culture.10% discount on the entire Media Markt website.Flexible Pay “Media Flex program” (e.G., Ticket Restaurant, Private Health Insurance with Adeslas).Flexible working time and possibility to combine home office and in?office work; intensive workday everyFriday and during summer.Option to choose between two offices: Media Markt Spain HQ and Pier01 in Barceloneta.Assistance with visa processes for eligible applicants.Training budget for professional and personal development.Language classes: English, Spanish, and German.Birthday off, a day to enjoy without work responsibilities.Work with the most cutting?edge technological stack.Job InformationLocation: Barcelona, El Prat De LlobregatDepartment: HQ - ITEmployment Type: Full TimeWork Hours: 40 days per week(*) Diversity and equal opportunities are important to us.Research shows that women and people from underrepresented groups are less likely to apply if they don’t meet all the criteria.If you are interested in this position but your experience doesn’t align perfectly with every requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
