Job description

  • Develop and maintain detailed program plans, integrated delivery schedules, milestones, dependencies, and performance measures.
  • Oversee multiple concurrent IT projects, ensuring alignment across scope, timelines, budgets, resources, and business objectives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, project managers, technical specialists, external partners, and business stakeholders.
  • Manage program budgets, resource plans, delivery schedules, risks, issues, and interdependencies.
  • Provide clear and regular program reporting to sponsors, senior stakeholders, and executive leadership.
  • Ensure projects comply with established IT PMO governance, quality, compliance, and delivery standards.
  • Escalate significant issues, decisions, and delivery risks to program sponsors in a timely and structured manner.
  • Partner with change management teams to support the successful adoption of new systems, technologies, and processes.
  • Analyse program performance and introduce improvements to governance, reporting, delivery methods, and ways of working.
  • Act as the central point of contact for program-level delivery questions, decisions, and status updates.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience managing complex IT programs and projects.
  • Demonstrable experience overseeing multiple programs or interconnected projects simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of PMO governance, integrated delivery planning, executive reporting, risk management, and sponsor escalation.
  • Experience delivering projects through Waterfall and Hybrid Agile methodologies.
  • Strong budget, resource, schedule, dependency, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project for project scheduling and delivery tracking.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
  • Ability to operate effectively within a large, international, and highly matrixed organisation.
  • Based in Barcelona or willing to relocate.

This is a senior program delivery position responsible for overseeing multiple related IT projects and larger-scale technology initiatives that support broader business objectives. The successful candidate will coordinate delivery across internal teams, external technology partners, project managers, business stakeholders, and senior leadership.

The role requires someone who can provide structure and visibility across several concurrent initiatives, maintain strong program governance, and ensure projects remain aligned, on schedule, within budget, and focused on the required business outcomes.
