Job description

Join Royal London’s Digital area as a Senior Software Engineer where you will play a crucial role in building digital solutions for our customers and business users. You’ll work with talented engineers, analysts and testers to deliver high-quality solutions, improve existing applications and raise engineering standards through collaboration, pragmatic design and great testing. About the role

  • Design, develop, test and implement efficient digital solutions that meet business and customer requirements.
  • Deliver complex changes within your technical area, including assessing impacts on existing applications.
  • Document and agree designs in advance, working to agreed standards and ways of working.
  • Build to Group engineering standards and quality gates for your technology stack.
  • Partner closely with test colleagues to ensure code is thoroughly tested and issues are found early.
  • Safely release changes to production environments, supporting troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the wider team, contribute ideas, and review others’ work to improve overall quality.

Requirements

  • Expert Technical knowledge of C# or Angular.
  • Expert in TDD and left-most automated testing.
  • Experience of SQL.
  • Experience of the full software development lifecycle, and an awareness of agile development practices.
  • Can work without supervision.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

  • Keen to continue to develop technical skills in ever emerging technology stacks.
