Job description
We are looking for an experienced developer to join our team. This role will be integral to reimagining our report design and delivery, within the energy reporting team, and the wider department. This role will be focused on delivering enhanced insight to our customers through data storytelling., * Own the development of PowerBI dashboards & reporting showcasing energy and portfolio data for the Energy Reporting Team.
- Management and design of data to bring insights and reporting to clients and internal teams.
- Collaborate with reporting analysts and other developers to develop and enhance data and insight from key data inputs.
- Provide thought leadership around data visualization and storytelling.
- Assist with implementing change initiatives where necessary.
- Adhere and promote best practices and consistency across the team.
- Able to work self-sufficiently and manage own work area.
- Be a subject matter expert in taking content from complex data sources to inform business decisions; both for clients and internal teams.
- Support analytics across all the Data & Markets products, helping to deliver the Science of Service to customers.
Requirements
- We’re looking for an innovative and technically capable person who has proven experience in generating insight from multiple datasets to inform decision making for our business and clients.
- Must have strong experience in Microsoft PowerBI, Power Query and DAX.
- Comfortable working with stakeholders to define requirements and scope of work.
- Previous experience of delivering value-add, analytical projects with at least 2 years’ experience in similar roles.
- Passionate about technology and solving business problems.
- Understanding of data language, SQL or similar preferred.
- Must have good analysis skills to produce practical solutions to a range of problems.
- Experience with Python or R is advantageous.
- Specialist analytics skills including modelling, data preparation, visualization.
- Clear professional communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and enjoys working in an agile environment
Benefits & conditions
£40,000 - £45,000 plus package (25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, Pension, Life Assurance)
