Job description
The Software Engineer Specialist is a high-level individual contributor responsible for the end-to-end development of robust and scalable applications. Reporting to the Head of Solutions Architecture, this role focuses on translating complex architectural designs into high-quality code. The position requires a âtechnical ownershipâ mindset, where the specialist is not just a developer, but a guardian of their modules, ensuring performance, security, and alignment with the overall business strategy., * End-to-End Development: Design, develop, and deploy robust software applications, ensuring every solution is maintainable and adheres to the departmentâs standards of excellence.
- Technical Ownership: Take full accountability for assigned modules. Proactively identify technical risks, propose innovative solutions, and mitigate technical debt before it impacts business operations.
- Quality & Performance: Guarantee code integrity through rigorous automated testing, peer reviews, and continuous resolution of security vulnerabilities.
- Agile Planning & Estimation: Provide precise and realistic effort estimations. Actively participate in project planning by translating functional requirements into an executable technical roadmap.
- Collaborative Synergy: Work closely with Product Owners and fellow engineers to ensure that the technical implementation perfectly matches the end-userâs needs.
- Delivery Accountability: Ensure that developments are delivered within agreed timelines, maintaining clear and constant communication regarding progress and potential blockers with stakeholders.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and lead knowledge-sharing sessions to strengthen the internal technical culture and facilitate onboarding.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in software development. Proven track record of progression toward technical autonomy and decision-making in complex environments.
- Education: University Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Soft Skills: Ownership Mindset: A proactive attitude toward improving systems, not just executing tasks. Critical Adaptability: Ability to pivot technical focus based on business shifts without compromising code quality. Assertive Communication: Capability to explain technical status and complexities to both technical and non-technical stakeholders concisely.
