Job description

We are looking for a Senior MuleSoft Platform Engineer to join an international, cross-functional technology environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for the operation, reliability, scalability, automation, and continuous improvement of a MuleSoft integration platform.

This is a platform operations position rather than an API development role. You will focus on maintaining and improving the MuleSoft ecosystem, automating repetitive operational activities, managing platform capacity, supporting major incidents, and implementing self-healing and auto-remediation solutions.

You will work with technologies such as MuleSoft Flex Gateway, Terraform, OpenShift, ArgoCD, GitHub, AWS, and Azure, while collaborating with internal teams, external providers, and international stakeholders.

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts to reduce manual operational effort
  • Identify repetitive platform activities and drive automation initiatives using Python, PowerShell, Shell scripting, or platform-specific tools
  • Implement self-healing and auto-remediation mechanisms for recurring operational failures
  • Manage MuleSoft Flex Gateway / Omni Gateway environments
  • Own platform capacity management, including utilisation monitoring, growth forecasting, and capacity planning
  • Monitor platform health, resource consumption, performance, and availability
  • Identify recurring incidents and technical issues, carrying out root cause analysis and continuous service improvement initiatives
  • Support major incidents, service restoration activities, and production troubleshooting
  • Manage infrastructure and platform configuration using Terraform
  • Work with OpenShift and ArgoCD to support containerised platform environments and GitOps-based deployments
  • Maintain GitHub repositories, version control processes, and automation workflows
  • Support authentication and authorisation mechanisms, including OAuth and OpenID Connect
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, networking, development, support teams, and external providers
  • Produce technical documentation, operational runbooks, knowledge articles, and capacity reports
  • Transfer technical knowledge and operational deliverables to support teams
  • Facilitate technical discussions and workshops with stakeholders in an international and multicultural environment, The employee will have access to confidential information related to Capitole and the assigned project.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in MuleSoft platform management and platform operations
  • Strong experience operating and maintaining MuleSoft environments
  • Hands-on experience with MuleSoft Flex Gateway / Omni Gateway
  • Experience focused on platform operations, infrastructure, reliability, or administration rather than only API development
  • Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
  • Hands-on experience with OpenShift
  • Experience with ArgoCD and GitOps practices
  • Proficiency with GitHub and version control workflows
  • Experience developing operational automation using Python, PowerShell, Shell scripting, or similar technologies
  • Experience with platform monitoring, performance management, capacity planning, and utilisation forecasting
  • Knowledge of authentication and authorisation mechanisms, including OAuth and OpenID Connect
  • Foundational knowledge of AWS
  • Foundational knowledge of Microsoft Azure
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and service management practices
  • Experience supporting production environments, major incidents, and service restoration activities
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and technical information synthesis skills
  • Ability to work autonomously within international and cross-functional teams
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent relevant field
  • Knowledge of XML, XSD, WSDL, WS-*, Java, and JSON
  • Understanding of network fundamentals, including Virtual IPs, firewalls, load balancers, routing, and connectivity
  • Experience managing certificate lifecycles
  • Familiarity with SOAPUI and Postman
  • Experience working with Linux environments
  • Knowledge of Silva or similar platform-specific tools
  • Experience working with integration platforms in complex enterprise environments
  • Previous experience coordinating internal teams and external service providers
  • Spanish language skills are a plus
