Experteer Overview As a Senior Backend Software Engineer at Mambu, you will build secure, high-performance bank connectivity and payment automation features.You’ll own architectural decisions for complex backend systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable fintech solutions.You’ll shape the technical direction, mentor peers, and drive security-by-design across public and internal APIs.This role offers impact at scale within a fast-paced, innovative fintech environment.You’ll work on critical, high-stakes production issues and help accelerate product velocity.Compensaciones / Beneficios- Develop bank connectivity and payment automation features with emphasis on security, stability, and performance- Own architectural decisions for complex, high-impact projects and guide technical direction- Collaborate with Product Managers and DevOps engineers to maintain fast, iterative delivery- Apply security-by-design principles to APIs and systems- Solve architectural challenges to reduce complexity while delivering value- Mentor and upskill junior/mid-level engineers through code reviews and pairing- Define and execute the technical roadmap to improve velocity and manage technical debt- Serve as technical reference for critical incidents and production issuesResponsabilidades- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong Golang expertise- Background in fintech, banking, or payments (SEPA, Swift, Ebics…)- Proven track record designing and owning distributed backend systems in production- Strong relational database and SQL skills, including high-concurrency and transactional integrity- Experience building high-volume SaaS platforms with maintainable and well-documented code- Advanced API design skills with focus on security, versioning, and documentation- Proven ability to mentor engineers and raise engineering standards- Curious, product-oriented mindset with high autonomyRequisitos principales- Competitive base salary- Company equity for all- Learning and development opportunities- Hybrid/Remote working (location dependant)- 60 day working abroad- 4 week paid sabbatical after 5 years service

5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong Golang expertise

• Background in fintech, banking, or payments (SEPA, Swift, Ebics…)
