Job description

  • Design, develop, administer and sustain databases such as Oracle, MS SQL, and MS Access
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases
  • Plan, and execute the installation and testing of new data-related products and improvements to information systems
  • Specify and enforce user and programmatic access levels for each segment of database
  • Develop data models
  • Monitor database capacity and performance, creating and tuning production database
  • Identify and evaluate industry trends in database systems to serve as DB subject matter expert
  • Review and validate data mining and data warehousing programs, processes, and requirements
  • Develop data standards, policies, and procedures for Government review
  • Support the Risk Management Framework authorization process
  • Perform risk analysis (e.g., threat, vulnerability, and probability of occurrence) whenever an application or system undergoes a major change)
  • Plan and implement security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance
  • Collaborate with developers to design efficient database schemas and optimize queries
  • Ensure data consistency and accuracy through data validation and cleansing processes

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Electronic/ Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.+C5
  • 7 years professional experience in SQL database system administration.
  • Experience with DB products including Oracle, MS SQL, and MS Access, and tools such as Python and MS VBA to resolve application DB issues.
  • Experience securing databases/information per DoD/NIST RMF guidelines
  • A current U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance

Desired Certifications:

  • Vendor-specific DB design and administration certifications
