You’ll help ensure environments are robust, secure, and ready for deployment by validating infrastructure, automation, and platform services throughout the delivery lifecycle., * Ensuring the quality of infrastructure and platforms as solutions move from proof of concept into production.

  • Analysing infrastructure architectures and requirements to identify test conditions, risks, and traceability.
  • Developing infrastructure-focused test strategies and plans, including environments, tooling, automation, governance, and entry/exit criteria.
  • Provisioning, validating, and maintaining test environments alongside DevSecOps and engineering teams.
  • Designing and executing functional, integration, regression, resilience, non-functional, and security-focused infrastructure tests.
  • Validating Infrastructure as Code (IaC), operating systems, networking, cloud platforms, and containerised environments.

  • Ansible (playbooks, roles, inventories, idempotency).
  • Kubernetes deployment, cluster management, and container platform validation.

CI/CD and Automation

Knowledge of:

  • Automated infrastructure validation and testing within deployment pipelines.
  • Environment orchestration and pipeline readiness checks.

Security and Governance

You’ll ideally have experience of:

  • Secure-by-Design principles.
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM).
  • OS hardening, network segmentation, and infrastructure security.
  • Working within regulated or security-conscious environments.
  • Supporting compliance, assurance, or accreditation activities.

The ideal candidate is technically curious, enjoys improving engineering practices, and has experience testing infrastructure rather than solely software applications., Experience within defence, government, national security, aerospace, critical infrastructure, financial services, or other highly regulated sectors would be advantageous but is not essential.
