The Senior Embedded Software Engineer brings a key contribution to a team responsible for the architectural design and implementation of software to support novel electrosurgical systems for surgery being developed by the Sunnyvale Engineering group.

Roles and Responsibilities Develop software applications for electrosurgical and robotic products for minimally invasive surgery. Develop software and firmware in object-oriented C++, C, Verilog and Python for embedded systems. Develop software to acquire, process, store, and analyze energy data in real-time. Develop software to support manufacturing and test teams. Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team. Independently solve assigned problems.

Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years of experience and a Master’s degree; or equivalent experience Experience designing complete software solutions for embedded systems using C/C++ on bare-metal and Linux based embedded systems Working knowledge of peripherals commonly used on embedded systems such as ADCs, DACs, PWM and waveform and serial communications (I2C, SPI, RS232, CAN) Proven experience with hands-on hardware bring-up and collaboration, utilizing electronic bench equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers Strong knowledge of control theory and experience developing and tuning control systems Experience in the medical device industry, familiarity with standards 60601 and 62304 is strongly
