Job description

  • As a Mainframe Developer, you will be responsible for providing a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems.
  • You are expected to be a subject matter expert, collaborate and manage the team to perform effectively.
  • You will be responsible for team decisions, engage with multiple teams, and contribute to key decisions.
  • Additionally, you will provide solutions to problems for your immediate team and across multiple teams.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex software issues to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance system functionality and user experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve service delivery.
  • Document findings and solutions to create a knowledge base for future reference.
  • Participate in continuous learning and development to stay updated with industry trends and technologies.

This role requires 3-4 days per week onsite in New York City, NY.

Role requires contractor time away (CTA), 5 days per quarter, as mandated by the client

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of hands-on Mainframe experience
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 and VSAM
  • High School Diploma / GED, * Advanced proficiency in Mainframes Modernization on GCP
  • Bank experience
  • Experience with Restructured Extended Executor (REXX), DB2 SQL, and Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM) is suggested.
