Job description

  • Execute architecture development, requirements engineering, performance analysis, system-level documentation, trade studies, risk management, system integration and test, and verification and validation
  • Support technical activities of electrical, mechanical, and software engineers to upgrade Mission Equipment Packages to fully meet system requirements and customer’s expectations
  • Lead software & hardware issue resolution efforts and support attaining customer confidence
  • Communicate effectively with engineers, management, and non-engineering support staff to evaluate technical information impacting support of products, services, or other deliverables
  • Ensure common understanding of and compliance with all program requirements
  • Use engineering/analysis software in the performance of assignments
  • Study alternative concepts and use of models and simulations to predict system performance
  • Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems, and services
  • Support the acquisition of hardware and software
  • Enforce and integrate systems engineering processes into program plans
  • Strive to complete activities on time and budget
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings

Requirements

Our client is seeking a full-time Senior Systems Engineer to support the analysis, design, development, and integration of Mission Equipment Packages (MEPs) of battlefield reconnaissance, survivability, lethality, radar, and electronic system payloads onto legacy and next-generation combat vehicles. This position executes an interdisciplinary systems engineering process to ensure customer technical performance requirements are satisfied in a high-quality, cost-efficient, and schedule-compliant manner. The ideal candidate will bring a strong Electrical Engineering and Software background, with hands-on experience integrating and testing power systems and distribution, embedded/control software, and test instrumentation/data acquisition.

The candidate will be comfortable working directly with cross-functional hardware and software teams in both lab environments and on-vehicle at test ranges to support system upgrades, system check-out, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.

This position is based out of Bridgeton, MO facility and will have the option to work an in person or hybrid schedule., * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or related technical field

  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Understanding of Systems Engineering principles and practices
  • Must possess excellent analytical and communication skills, written and oral
  • Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS (~10%)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools (Cameo SysML)
  • Proficient in the use of MATLAB for data analysis, Microsoft Office products (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, TEAMS), and later versions of DOORS requirements management software, The following requirements must be met to be eligible for this position: successful completion of a background investigation, and drug urinalysis.
