Participate in technical design discussions and represent operational and platform considerations. Support low-level solution design for new products and technology implementations. Provide troubleshooting, consulting, and technical support to development and wider IT teams. Improve legacy database environments through analysis, modernization, and operational refinement. Share knowledge with the wider infrastructure team through documentation, technical overviews, and collaborative support. Qualifications Strong hands-on

experience administering Microsoft SQL Server in enterprise-scale environments. Proven background in database monitoring, backup/recovery, patching, security, and performance tuning. Experience with high-availability, resilience, and scalability across database platforms. Solid understanding of database architecture, schema design, and data integration principles. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Experience in complex, business-critical infrastructures with strong operational requirements. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, and engineering teams. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. Nice to Have Experience in regulated environments, especially financial services. Exposure to DevOps / DevSecOps practices. Experience acting as a SQL Cloud Technology SME. Microsoft certifications.
