business impact of architectural decisions. Key Responsibilities Architect end-to-end blockchain solutions leveraging the company’s products and ecosystem. Assess, design, and improve existing and in-progress system architectures. Identify and resolve technical challenges with a strong focus on security, scalability, and decentralization. Guide and mentor development squads to ensure architectural consistency and best practices. Research emerging blockchain technologies and propose relevant improvements. Communicate technical risks, challenges, and trade-offs to stakeholders. Evaluate the business impact of technical decisions. Provide regular updates on product evolution, costs, and budgets. What You Bring Technical Expertise 5+ years of experience in the Web3 ecosystem, with recent years focused on architecture. 4+ years of hands-on Solidity experience, including strong knowledge of EVM opcodes. Solid experience with Java, including analyzing complex codebases and contributing code when needed. Experience with Rust and JavaScript is a strong plus. Deep understanding of Bitcoin, including consensus rules, P2P networking, transaction formats, and the UTXO model. Strong knowledge of Bitcoin Script, including standard and non-standard use cases, covenant proposals, and trade-offs in UTXO-based design. Familiarity with the Lightning Network, Bitcoin Layer-2 solutions, and interoperability approaches. Deep understanding of applied cryptography in blockchain systems (ECDSA, Schnorr, hash functions, Merkle trees, multisig and threshold schemes). Proven experience designing secure protocols and identifying vulnerabilities in smart contracts and blockchain applications. Familiarity with consensus algorithms (e.g., Nakamoto, PBFT, Gasper) and Sybil-resistance mechanisms (PoW, PoS, DPoS). Experience reviewing, auditing, and optimizing EVM-compatible smart contracts (gas optimization, upgradeability, access control, and security best practices). Problem Solving & Innovation Strong ability to proactively solve complex technical challenges. Analytical mindset to evaluate technical decisions and their business impact. Passion for staying ahead of blockchain trends and introducing innovative protocols and technologies. Leadership & Collaboration Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to translate complex concepts for technical and non-technical audiences. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to thrive in a global, diverse, fully remote environment. Education & Languages Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent practical experience. Fluent English required; Spanish is a plus.
