Job description

  • Lead the architecture and design of enterprise-scale data platforms that support secure, scalable, and high-performance data solutions.
  • Define enterprise data architecture standards, data models, and governance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with business, engineering, and technology teams to develop modern data platform strategies and integration solutions.
  • Design scalable data ingestion, transformation, storage, metadata management, and data consumption architectures.
  • Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative enterprise data solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security, governance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop architecture documentation, roadmaps, and best practices for enterprise data management.

Requirements

  • Required:
  • Enterprise Data Architecture

  • Enterprise Data Platform Design
  • Strong knowledge of cloud-based data platforms, data lakes, data warehouses, and distributed data architectures.
  • Experience with data modeling, metadata management, data governance, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills., * Experience with Project Nessie or equivalent transactional catalog tooling for Apache Iceberg.
  • Knowledge of medical imaging (DICOM), multi-modal clinical data integration, omics, or real-world data.
  • Familiarity with FAIR data principles for life sciences data platforms.
  • Experience with Apache Airflow, Temporal, or similar workflow orchestration platforms.
  • Previous experience delivering fixed-fee, milestone-based projects within regulated enterprise environments.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of enterprise data architecture and data engineering experience.
  • Proven success designing and implementing enterprise-scale data platforms.
  • Experience establishing enterprise architecture standards and governance practices.
  • Strong background collaborating with cross-functional technical and business teams.
  • Healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated industry experience is highly desirable.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
