Job description

Maintain and enhance backend services including API and web-socket servers, etc.
Maintain and enhance web console applications built using the React Framework.
Maintain and enhance services which operate in near real-time on customer manufacturing data.
Architect new data flows within our platform.
Troubleshoot and help maintain regular operation of our platform.
Work with DevOps team to automate deployment of existing and new applications.
Work with DevOps team to improve Observability stack.
Work with Customer / Solutions team to solve new problems and develop new features to enhance the customer experience.

Requirements

Bachelors in Computer Science or related fields with relevant experience (5-10 years) demonstrating an equivalent level of thinking and execution.
Five plus years of experience in software engineering
Experience with UI development.
Experience with SQL / NoSQL databases.
Experience with dashboards and charting.
Experience with real-time streaming protocols: Kafka, MQTT, web sockets.
Experience with Machine Learning, specifically, time-series data, reinforcement learning, training strategies, GPU resource tuning and optimization of training.
Experience in designing, building, testing, deploying, and maintaining production applications.
Experience with cloud platforms.

Hard Skills:

Fluency with Python, Typescript, Node.js, React, and RESTful APIs.
SQL, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy.
Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, REST).
AWS cloud stack: Cloud Front, ECS, S3, IAM, SQS.
Demonstrates an excellent understanding of data structures and algorithms.

Soft Skills:

Clear and easy to read documentation of all code/projects.
Creative problem-solving skills and patience to evaluate and troubleshoot process and control system performance.
Capable producing innovative solutions to engineering problems and customer operational issues.
Ability to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced startup environment.
