IT Security Manager

A client of Insight Global in the Grand Rapids, MI area is seeking an IT Security Manager to lead the implementation and continuous improvement of cybersecurity initiatives across cloud, network, infrastructure, and identity management environments. This role is responsible for designing and maintaining security controls, enforcing access management policies, implementing Zero Trust principles, and protecting critical business systems and data. The individual will oversee security monitoring, incident response, threat detection, vulnerability management, and compliance-related activities while helping strengthen the organization’s overall security posture. Working closely with cross-functional IT teams, this person will support secure cloud architectures, network segmentation, firewall management, and the evaluation of security technologies and best practices. This position serves as a key cybersecurity leader, driving risk mitigation efforts and ensuring the organization remains secure, resilient, and aligned with industry security standards.

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

• 7-10 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or cybersecurity engineering
• Strong experience with Azure cloud

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Any of the following certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer, CISSP, CISM, GIAC, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or equivalent technical certification
• Master’s degree in related field
• Experience in regulated environments including transportation, government, aviation, or healthcare

$60/hr to $65/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
