Job description

Build your career as a Medical Assistant by delivering exceptional patient care and supporting providers in a collaborative clinical environment. You’ll prepare patients for visits, assist with exams and procedures, administer medications within your scope of practice, and support care coordination through scheduling, referrals, prior authorizations, and electronic medical records while helping ensure an efficient, patient-centered experience., * Prepare patients for visits, collect clinical information, and assist providers with exams and procedures.

  • Perform Medical Assistant duties within scope of practice, including administering medications, collecting specimens, and providing patient education.
  • Support clinic operations by maintaining exam rooms, managing supplies, and following infection prevention standards.
  • Assist with scheduling, referrals, prior authorizations, patient communications, and electronic medical record documentation.
  • Collaborate with providers and the care team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting quality and service initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Six months of Medical Assistant experience or successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program required.
  • Presbyterian Medical Assistant Advanced Skills Training required within 90 days of hire.
  • Current BLS certification (AHA, Red Cross, or ASHI Healthcare Provider) required within 90 days of hire.
  • Must maintain required certifications and complete all organizational, department, and role-specific competency requirements.
