Job description

The Florida Senate Office of Information Technology is hiring a .NET Technical Lead / Software Team Leader to lead the design, development, and evolution of modern applications used across the Senate organization. Our development team builds internal systems using technologies such as .NET, Angular, SQL Server, and Azure DevOps in a collaborative environment focused on delivering practical, reliable solutions.

This position is based in Tallahassee, Florida and requires on-site work.

Examples of Work Performed

  • Lead and mentor a team of developers with a range of experience levels

  • Help drive technical direction, architecture, and development standards for new applications and system improvements

  • Build and maintain applications using .NET and modern web frameworks such as Angular

  • Design and implement APIs and application services

Requirements

  • .NET / ASP.NET Core

  • Angular

  • TypeScript / JavaScript

  • HTML / CSS

  • Entity Framework

  • Visual Studio

  • Microsoft Azure DevOps

  • Designing scalable and maintainable application solutions

  • Developing applications using modern .NET technologies

  • Building modern web applications using Angular or similar frameworks

  • Troubleshooting complex technical issues

  • Lead and mentor software development teams, A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, management information systems, mathematics, or engineering and four years of progressively responsible information systems experience.

Progressively responsible information systems experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education. Any combination of progressively responsible information systems experience and post-secondary training in disciplines as described above totaling eight years.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with:

  • Angular, React, or Blazor

  • CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows

  • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

  • Microsoft SharePoint development or API integration

  • Microsoft development tools including Azure DevOps and Visual Studio

  • Agile or Scrum development environments

Benefits & conditions

Anticipated hiring salary range: $95,000 - $115,000 annually, depending on qualifications and level of experience.
