Job description
- Configure, secure, and maintain Windows and Linux test environments for assigned systems.
- Maintain and execute test plans and procedures required for 30day security updates and other system patches.
- Perform system-level functional, regression, and integration testing following software updates.
- Accurately reproduce, document, and troubleshoot issues found during testing.
- Collaborate with development teams to validate fixes and ensure successful resolution.
- Assist with management of test beds and network devices, including setup and configuration of test support systems.
- Become a program-level SME, gaining deep knowledge of the equipment and software under test.
- Support cybersecurity validation using approved DoD scanning tools as needed.
- Prepare clear test reports and discrepancy documentation for government review.
- Support occasional field tests, onsite events, or training/exercise support (CONUS/OCONUS travel when required).
Requirements
- Clearance: Active DoD Secret clearance (required at start).
- Experience: At least 3 years of technical testing experience supporting software or system testing.
- Experience maintaining or configuring Windows and/or Linux test environments.
- Ability to develop, maintain, and execute test plans and test procedures, including documentation of results.
- Experience performing system-level functional testing and validating updated builds or patches (e.g., monthly/30day security updates).
- Ability to reproduce and troubleshoot issues with engineering or development teams.
- Experience configuring or supporting networked test beds, including installation and basic troubleshooting of test support systems.
- Ability to rapidly learn new systems and become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on assigned project tools, hardware, and software.

Strong communication and documentation skills. Desired Skills
- Experience supporting DoD or NIWC Atlantic test events.
- Experience with Cybersecurity scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, SCAP, ACAS).
- Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM testing workflows.
- Experience with automated test tools, regression frameworks, or IV&V activities.
- Understanding of DoD RMF processes or security control validation. Clearance Information
