Job description
As a UX Product Designer, you will be an integral part of an innovative and bold initiative that takes a modern approach of disciplined Agile and Lean software practices aimed at transforming healthcare and pharmacy. The UX Product Designer is essential to ensuring product success and end-user satisfaction in a highly collaborative environment working within an ecosystem of apps for a pharmacy benefits management platform known as myPBM. You will help educate both business and technology teams on human-centered design and UX best practices, as well as lead products from discovery through iterative delivery., * Week 1:Meet yourbuddyand manager to ensure your computer is set up, and you have all the key softwareand toolsyou need.Meet your product team to begin understanding product goals,scope, andnear-termexpectations from you.
- Week 2:beginworkingclosely with your product manager and business owner to familiarize or begin to define userjourneys.You’lldive into setting up your Figmafiles to set up your workspace with what you need to begin low fidelity wireframes or familiarize yourself with the existing designs. You will also meet themyPBMdesign team and get familiarized with design systems, patterns, standards, and tooling.
- Month 1:By the end of the first month,you’llberegularlyproducing mock-ups for delivery, advocating for good UX, accessibility, and design system standards.You’llannotate designs wherenecessary,especially to ensure accessibility. Workingwith PMs andengineers,you’llensure alignment on story requirements and feasibility.Team meetingsand pairingwill give you ageneral understanding of the broadermyPBMecosystem.

- Adhocfeedback throughMSTeams channels for design system usage, standards, feedback, and general chatter
- Design pairing - work simultaneously with another designer to naturally share knowledge around domain, process, tooling,etc.
- Weekly design review/critfor feedback and sharing
- Dedicated design researcher for support onbigger research needs
- Report to achain ofmanagerseachwith extensive experience in the design practice
CVS design community
- Tri-weekly meetings on community organized topics
- Dedicated accessibility designer
- MSTeamscommunity forlatest design topics,learningsand general chatter
Requirements
A firm understanding of user-centered design principles and user research methodologies is crucial for success in the role. Empathy, creative problem-solving, comfort with uncertainty, pairing with team members, excellent communication skills, curiosity, and learning are the foundational characteristics of the UX Product Designer., * Full-stack designer:ownerofall dimensions of design - research, usability evaluation, information architecture, wireframes, visual,CSSand HTML -it’sok not be an expert in all,but important to have awillingnessto learn
- Demonstrate a methodical process that takes business and user needs to ship delightful user experiences into the hands of users.
- Experience working directly with business, product, and tech stakeholders to produce great user experiences thatsatisfyuser needs, business needs and technicallyfeasibility
- Able to advocate for user centered design, design standards, and value of design in written and verbal communications
- Experience leading andfacilitatingactivitieswitha groupsuch as design sketching exercises, user research synthesis,andretros, * 5+ years professional experience as a UX Architect, UX Designer, or Product Designer role.
- 2+ yearsofexperience in at least one of the 3 design pillars: user research, interactiondesignor visual design.
- 1+ years of working effectively with Agile and lean philosophies
- 1+ yearsofexperience working independently with clients or stakeholder and designing business or enterprise applications
- 1+yearsofexperienceexecuting user-centered design methodologies by leading product design decisions from research through implementation
- 1+ yearsofexperience designingand prototypinginFigma
- 1+ year of experience with modern front-end technologies andopen sourceframeworks (e.g.Material Design, HTML/CSS, grid systems, responsive design)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Successes in advocatingfor user centered design, design standards, and value of design to stakeholders who are unfamiliar or resistant
- Able to manage multiple business stakeholders with different and sometimes competing needs
- Able to hold their own in conversation with technical stakeholders to explore the art of the possible
- Strong facilitation skills with a bias to action, extracting key information needed to unlock and unblock design work
- Able to organize andfacilitatefull day workshopsalongsidebusiness and PM stakeholders to align stakeholders and converge on next steps
- Has a methodical and just-in-time approach to absorbing a complex domain space
- Experiments with new techniques andworkflowsto innovateon design craft and processeswithout putting undue risk on the team
- Self driventoprovidegeneralsupportforthedesignteamas well asshare learnings,innovationsand emerging design topics
- Experience inpharmacy and healthcare industriesor industries with high complexity (ie: Financial services)building business to business or internal facing software
- Ability tochannelAI hype intoAI focused on augmenting great user experiences
Educat io n
Bachelor’s Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Fine Arts, Computer Science or Similar. Equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree considered.

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
