Due to our growth, we are currently looking for an experienced Java developer (m/f/d) who is also capable of implementing software solutions in the cloud or in a hybrid environment. Our software for alarm servers and business continuity management interfaces with protocols in the field of building automation (Modbus, OPC UA, ESPA + ESPA X, etc.), voice, bulk SMS, and much more. Therefore, comprehensive and solid networking knowledge is also required. We plan to replace the software-which has been successfully on the market for over 20 years-with a new software architecture. This is a full-time position offering the greatest possible flexibility.In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work in a team-oriented environment and utilize top-notch software and hardware tools. You’ll apply your skills to perform object-oriented Java development, build multi-tenant web applications, create REST APIs, and implement best security practices-all while serving as one of the key contributors on exciting application development projects.Department:Software DevelopmentProject Location:Barcelona, Spain or Athens, GreeceEducation:MSc or comparableCompensation:TBAResponsibilitiesCandidates can look forward to leading and supervising small project teams responsible for developing and preparing proposals and creating methodologies. Customer contact is possible.Your work will involve developing applications used by thousands of external customers as well as internal operational teams.You will be part of an agile development team responsible for all aspects of ongoing software development, from initial specification through development to testing and deployment.Developing clean, well-designed code (within budget) in a microservices architectureCo-developing a robust and reliable REST APIDeveloping and implementing new features, often as microservicesDebugging, testing, and maintaining existing software applicationsContributing to all phases of the development lifecycleCoordinating with customers alongside the sales team or managementSkills/ExperienceJava Skills:In-depth knowledge of Core Java, object-oriented programming (OOP), and concurrency.Advanced Frameworks:Expertise in Spring Boot and Hibernate.Cloud & DevOps:Hands-on experience with AWS/Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.Data Management:Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL.Experience:At least 5 years of professional experience as a software developer.Experience developing and interacting with REST web services.Understanding of code version control tools such as Git.Knowledge of BASH and Linux.Interpersonal communication skills and ability to work well in a team.Strong analytical skills.Personal responsibility and strong work ethic.Professional, able to interact with salespeople and clients.#J-*****-Ljbffr

Requirements

At least 5 years of professional experience as a software developer. Experience developing and interacting with REST web services. Understanding of code version control tools such as Git. Knowledge of BASH and Linux. Interpersonal communication skills and ability to work well in a team. Strong analytical skills. Personal responsibility and strong work ethic.
