Job description

Looking for a consistent evening schedule with real leadership responsibility? WSI Trash & Recycling Valet is hiring an Evening Field Support Lead across the Nampa/Meridian area. Shifts run 3-5 hours per evening, Monday through Friday - starting around 5:30 PM. Prior experience helpful but not required. Full training provided., Support nightly trash and recycling valet routes across apartment communities each evening. You’ll monitor routes and provide on-site support to Valet Porters, stepping in to perform collection duties when coverage is needed. You’ll collect bagged trash, recycling, and cardboard from residents’ doors and transport materials to onsite dumpsters, chutes, or compactors. You’ll inspect recycling for contamination, ensure proper separation, and check in/out while documenting your route using a mobile app. Issuing courtesy compliance notices, uploading required photos, and cleaning up loose trash near dumpsters and compactor areas are all part of the role. You’ll also assist with training new team members, completing quality audits, and occasionally servicing pet waste stations.

Requirements

This role involves extensive walking throughout apartment communities, ascending and descending stairs at some properties, and lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. All work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions. Some assignments require use of a personal open-bed pickup truck.

What You Need

Applicants must be 18 or older with a valid Idaho driver’s license and current auto insurance. A smartphone with an active data plan and location services enabled is required. You must be able to speak, read, and write in English, meet the physical demands of the role, and be available Monday through Friday evenings. Willingness to travel throughout Canyon County and Ada county from Nampa to Meridian is required. Reliable, professional, and self-motivated candidates are encouraged to apply.

Prior valet trash, porter, or field operations experience is a plus - not required. We train everyone. If you show up and lead, you’ll grow here.

Benefits & conditions

Short evening shifts that fit around your day. No weekends. Done by 11 PM most nights. This is a leadership position with a direct path into management. Mileage reimbursed at the IRS rate. Competitive pay of $20-$25/hr depending on assignment., Monday through Friday evenings only. Typical start time is 5:30 PM with shifts running 3-5 hours. Most nights you’ll be done by 11 PM. Shift length may vary based on property size, coverage needs, or seasonal factors. No weekends required.

Pay

$20-$25/hour depending on assignment and site requirements. Mileage is reimbursed at the current IRS standard rate. Typical weekly hours range from 15-20.
