Job description

Job OverviewAs a Data Engineer at Expedia Group’s B2B arm, you will build and maintain a cloud-based data platform that ingests over 3.6b domain event messages per day, providing enriched data for internal services and partners.You will collaborate with cross?functional teams to design and implement scalable data pipelines, data lakes, and real?time streaming solutions.Responsibilities- Develop various facets of data capture, processing, storage, distribution, and visualization.- Apply AWS standard methodologies and products (compute, storage, databases).- Write clean, maintainable, and well?tested code.- Build scalable and highly?performant distributed systems with a focus on availability, monitoring, and resiliency.- Communicate and document solutions and design decisions.- Propose new ways of doing things and contribute to system architecture.- Actively participate in an agile team that continuously learns and improves.Qualifications- Experience with at least one modern programming language (Scala, Python, Java, etc.).- Experience delivering and supporting highly available and scalable solutions with large transaction volume.- Solid knowledge of relational databases and SQL.- Experience using cloud services, especially AWS.- Passion for learning in data, technology, service design patterns, and system architecture.- Self?motivated with strong organizational skills for multi?disciplinary teamwork.Team and CultureJoin a friendly and collaborative team that shares knowledge, has a bias for action, and continuously learns new things.CompensationSalary range for Madrid: €43,000-€60,500, with potential to increase up to €69,000 based on performance and budget.Benefits- Medical, dental, and vision coverage.- Paid time off.- Employee Assistance Program.- Wellness and travel reimbursement.- Travel discounts and IATAN membership.Equal OpportunityEqual Opportunity Expedia is committed to creating an inclusive work environment with a diverse workforce.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or age.#J-*****-Ljbffr
