Technical Accounting Lead

Experteer Overview In this role you will own the end-to-end revenue accounting process and lead ASC 606 analyses to support scale and audit readiness.You will partner with Product, Sales, Data, FPu**amp; A, Legal, and Operationsto strengthen controls and automate revenue workflows in a fast-growing, international tech environment.You’ll shape the revenue policy framework and report on complex revenue positions, contributing to SEC readiness and the company’s public-company rigor.This is a high-impact role at a unicorn-scale company shaping the future of education.You will apply AI to accelerate workflows and tackle high-visibility initiatives that matter for millions of learners and tutors.Compensaciones / Beneficios- Own end-to-end revenue accounting including recognition, deferred revenue, incentives, refunds, credits, and breakage with governance and documentation- Lead technical accounting under ASC 606, including principal vs. agent, variable consideration, and marketplace complexities from new launches and pricing changes- Develop fluency in marketplace economics and tutor payout structures to advise commercial decisions with revenue impact- Prepare, review, and own complex monthly revenue journal entries, reconciliations, flux analyses, and close deliverables- Ensure data integrity and scalable revenue data flows between billing systems, product databases, and NetSuite; identify automation opportunities- Design and strengthen internal controls over revenue, supporting SOX readiness and audit requests- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Legal, and Operations on new features and initiatives before launch- Drive SEC disclosure readiness for revenue; own the revenue footnote and MDu**A narratives and develop accounting policy library- Apply AI tools to accelerate revenue accounting workflows and define accuracy standards for AI-assisted outputsResponsabilidades- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Big Four/public accounting and/or revenue accounting in SaaS/marketplace/tech- Deep US GAAP knowledge with strong ASC 606 expertise- Experience performing technical accounting research and drafting memos- Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite, and complex data environments- Ability to query and analyze large datasets using SQL, Looker, or other BI toolsRequisitos principales-
